The COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak makes staying in touch with our neighbors more important than ever. A group of neighbors is working to make it easier to ask for help, offer assistance, and share news and information. We can get through this together!
Ways we can help each other during illness or quarantine:
Here are some ways you can get in touch with your neighbors:
Mailing list: "Hudson Street" on Groups.io.
Many Hudson Street neighbors share news and information in this email group, which has been around for about a decade.
Having trouble getting on the list, or don't want to join? Send an email to cortex@brainonfire.net and I can help you get connected to the list, or to others. (That's me—I'm Tim McCormack, a resident of the neighborhood, and I host this website.)
If you've received a flyer with a link to this page on it, there should be names, phone numbers, and addresses at the bottom of people you can get in contact with, if you'd prefer not to use online communication.
If you want to let us know about a need or concern you have, resources you have to share, ways you can help, or anything else, and you either can't connect to the mailing list or have a reason not to post your message there, we've made an online version of the survey that was attached to the flyer. The same group of people who were listed on the flyer will be able to see your responses, although we might not see it right away.
The city of Somerville also has information on COVID-19-related information in general as well as ways you can get help (or help out.)
I'll be updating this section with important news and announcements, most recent first. Some of these will be cross-posts from the mailing list.
